Portishead residents rallied after Christmas and the New Year to help support the homeless in Bristol in partnership with Portishead Rotary Club.
Blankets, pillows and food items were donated to the Club and then taken to The Wild Goose Centre in Stapleton Road for distribution to those in need.
Esther Lambert from the Centre, pictured left, said: “We are so grateful to Rotary for working in partnership with the Portishead community particularly at this time directly after the Christmas period when the homeless can be forgotten.”
President John Sleight, pictured right, said: “Helping the homeless is a 24/7 necessity and we are determined to support whenever we can.”
The Club also presented a cheque for £100 from a bucket collection for the homeless at the recent Moscow State Circus performance on Bristol Downs.
