North Somerset Arts has brought together many artists from North Somerset Arts Week together under one roof in Nailsea.

Over eight weeks from April 11-June 3 in 65 High Street, Nailsea, there will be four different exhibitions, each one with a great mix of artists working in a wide range of media.

It is a great chance to see the work of North Somerset’s talented artists and a great taster for next year’s Arts Week.

Show 1 will be taking place from Wednesday, April 11-Sunday, April 22, and will feature Jackie Barwell, Linda Chan, Karen Edwards, Gabbie Gardner, Jane Geeson, Tim Haines, Chris Holden, Adrienne Hughes, Michelle Lucking, Renate and Paul O’Donnell, and Ian Price.

The group are excited to present a variety of work including paintings, prints, felt, ceramics, jewellery and artisan crafted mirrors.

All live and work in North Somerset and will be at 65 High Street each day to chat about their inspiration and skills.

Two workshops are also taking place. The first is a charcoal one on Friday, April 20 from 11am-12.30pm with Linda and the second takes place on Saturday, April 21 from 1-4pm with Gabbie, and provides a chance to learn wire work with crystal and stone.  Places are limited so book early.

Group coordinators Linda Chan and Adrienne Hughes commented: “We are really excited to have this opportunity to show a wide range of art by both professional and amateur artists at this local venue. It’s all set to be a fascinating show.”

The exhibition will be open Monday to Saturday from 9.30am-5pm and on Sunday from 1-5pm. Please check at before leaving as there will be occasions when the exhibition will be closed for community centre business.
