Plans to expand Flax Bourton C of E primary school have been granted approval. North Somerset Council’s Executive has agreed to the expansion of the school from a 105 to a 210-place primary school, with effect from September 2019. Rogue taxi driver taken off the road

An illegal taxi driver who was prolifically operating without a licence has been fined £870 and banned from driving for 12 months. Michael Cook, 62, from Forester Road, Portishead pleaded guilty to six offences and was told to pay over £2,000 in legal costs.
